In this week’s People On The Grid episode, Katrina interviewed co-founder of the mobile app and website Trybe. Meet Ilkka Salo. He is from Finland but has come to Barcelona recently to help the launch the Try.Be app here in Barcelona. What is Trybe? It is a mobile app and website platform that is a new approach to the purchasing of and sharing food. Local and neighbourhood chefs can make food, post it on the app and share with people who are looking to eat it. This new idea combines two of our interests food and connections. One thing to point out is that Trybe is for both sides of the market. Chefs can try out their food, share it and get feedback. And Foodies, Tourists or Anyone who is looking to eat “takeout food” can try local, authentic food, or new things and recipes.
